JEDC is an independent not-for-profit corporation governed by a board of directors consisting of nine members charged with preparing an economic development plan for the community and facilitating applications for state and federal assistance. The JEDC Board membership consists of 7 public seats, CBJ Mayor (and Mayor's alternate), UAS Chancellor, 1 Organized Labor Seat, and 1 Non-Profit Environmental Seat.
